21" Ambassador Wooden Chess Set

Received this chess set last week. Both my girlfriend and I had not played in several years and have now been playing continuously since receiving this. Only issue I have with all of this is that she appears to be the better player and has consistently beat me, but, I am getting better with each game and made her work a little harder for her last win. Maybe it was the tequila shots, maybe it was me? I’m not telling! Either way my “game” is improving?
The chess board set is a good quality, especially for the money. It has now become a permanent fixture in our living room.

This set looks nice from afar, but the quality is not what I was expecting for the price point. It’s much lighter than it looks like it should be, the storage for the pieces is this flimsy green-coated plastic tray, not what you think it is. When the set is open the hinges have to face out, so it’s really meant to be closed all the time. And this might just be me, but it came in a box that just looked like it was something bought off the shelf at Walmart, which wasn’t what I thought I would be receiving (it was a gift). I debated for a long time before purchasing this set, so I am disappointed. I would return it if it weren’t for the duties and return fees.

Big beautiful chess set with gorgeous pieces that are VERY large and ornate.

Excellent surprise, the board i expected, the chess pieces i didn’t expect. A very nice chess set,

My kids are enjoying chess so I decided to get an early Christmas gift for them. While we do love the the chess for the size and material, the etching is not all there. This isn’t just certain numbers and letters, both boards the have etching that are incomplete/ unlegible. I wished the final product would’ve been reviewed or checked before completion and sent out to me. All in all, a good starter piece.

This chess board is beautiful and excellent quality. This handcrafted masterpiece serves not only as an accent piece in our living room but creates many opportunities for engagements for our family and their friends.

Arrived quickly and well packaged. Beautiful, rich colors and detailed pieces. Our daughter (22 years) loves it! Thank you :)

My grandson picked out the set he wanted for his 6th grade graduation present. He was amazed at the quality and size of the pieces. We are having so much fun playing but Grandma still needs the cheat cards. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a high quality set. Thank you Chess House.

Adding a little spice to an empty nest has been fun. Our intrigue with Chess House was that each set is made by people with a passion. You can see the set is now a part of our story. The handmade set was exactly what we were looking for when thinking of adding a new game to the table.

This set is great. Money well spent.
I like feel and weight, how they slide on the board and how it looks. I don't know if it could be any nicer.

The chess set itself is nice but the storage compartment arrived cracked: the material used for the compartment is super flimsy. And in my opinion not worth the price.

OUTSTANDING PERFECT MAGNIFICENT WONDERFUL FANTASTIC LOVEIT AND PROBABLY THE BEST COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE ENCOUNTERED BARR NONE !!! EXTREEMELY EXCEEDED MY HUMBLE EXPECTATIOS THANK YOU

Simple easy to use, the pieces look great, the board looks great. I'm glad I got this set thanks again.

This set is beautiful! It was a birthday gift for my husband and he was so impressed with the quality and workmanship. Looking forward to years of chess.

I bought this set for my dad for fathers day & he absolutely loved it! He said he can’t wait to use it. Only thing he suggested was maybe that a handle be included so he can carry it easier. Apart from that, we were so impressed! Communication was amazing and the staff was very helpful. I would definitely buy again from here :)

Beautiful set. Have it set up in our cigar lounge and since getting it we get a lot of comments on it. Perfect size and very nicely designed. Looks way more expensive than it actually is.

I got this chess set for my husband’s birthday. It was back ordered, but the company kept close contact with me and provided status updates on a regular basis. When it finally arrived, my husband and I were blown away by the quality of this set! The chess board and the individual pieces are very detailed and made with care. My husband loves it! I’d highly recommend others to get this!

Very elegant and well built. Arrived very quick. Board is very detailed, and the pieces look and feel great. This is not a "travel" board. I feel its more suited to a permanent setting, and it certainly can be used for decor when not in use. My one lacking star is due to the lack of extra queens. Once you reach this price range, that's (almost) unforgivable. Especially, since the site doesn't have replacements available. All in all, I am very pleased with it.

Beautiful details. Like the size. Very pleased.

I love the look and feel of the pieces. While it is a professional sized set, it is still perfect for travel. They are lighter in weight than I expected. My hope was that there would be two extra queens but there was not. Still it is perfect for my purposes and my friends were very impressed with the craftmanship and quickly used the board themselves as I brought one of the two purchased to the local cigar lounge and they are using it regularly. I wish I could purchase the two extra queens to have if needed. Still it’s beauty trumps the lack of extra queens.
