The staff at Chess House went above and beyond to ensure that the customer had a great experience. I highly recommend Chess House and will you them again in the future.
I made an order in early December for a chess piece set. I was notified their fulfillment shipment was having issues and the order would be delayed. When the order still had not arrived in early January I inquired about my order. Paul was very accommodating and apologetic, giving me a choice of three similar sets he had in stock. Each one was an upgrade of my original order, my selection was shipped out that very day and arrived 5 days later. The set is wood carved tournament size, nicely weighted and beautiful. Thank you Paul for customer service above and beyond my expectations!
Beautiful simple pieces with a nice heft to them. Shipped quickly and exactly what I hoped for.
This set is wonderful. The pieces are well made and finished beautiful. The order was well packaged. If you want a read-only prices wooden set, this is it.
This is a great club set, sized nicely and each piece has a proper heft. There is nothing *cheap* feeling about this chess set. Yes, there are more elegant and detailed pieces out there, but you have to pay a premium of them. For an everyday set, this is a great value. I'd recommend it and would certainly buy it again.
The golden rosewood pieces did not look anything like the picture. The picture is what I made the purchase on. I have returned these and they were great on allowing a return.
I ordered the golden rosewood pieces along with a few replacement pieces. The set was really good. Only thing I could have wished better, would be a little more weight in the rooks. The Knights are really good and hefty. And the staff threw in a couple of canvas bags. A nice touch. Chess House rocks
One of the pawns (light colored one) was broken on the upper ridge. A small piece was broken out of the edge. I sent a note to The Chess House on Christmas Day and I am still waiting to hear back about a replacement.
The 3 3/4" Club Series Wood Chess Pieces that I ordered were exactly what I wanted and they arrived in perfect condition. The design easily defines each piece so even a beginner would feel comfortable playing!
