3 3/4" Emisario Player Chess Pieces - Black and White

I’m really impressed, especially for the price. These are nicely styled, and very nicely weighted.
With the weight and the broad base, they are nearly impossible to knock over, unintentionally, anyway.
Good felt on all the pieces, too.
I held back from saying it was a “5 star” kind of product because the mold lines are rather pronounced, but for a plastic set they are really exceptional.

I have been waiting since October of last year to purchase these pieces. The wait was worth it! For a plastic set the pieces are solid, well weighted, and have a great feel in your hand. They look nicer than I expected a plastic set to look. This color scheme pairs very well with the olive mouse pad chessboard. If you are looking for a high-quality, heavy plastic set look no further. Buy these - you won't regret it.

I bought this set for a portable option - take on the Road, play in the Park, at the Coffee Cafe, etc.
Now that I have them I am thinking
"These may be too nice for that!"
This is a plastic set, of course, but I like them better already than a couple of my more expensive wood sets. And this Flex Pad Board.... much better than my silicone one.
Very happy with this purchase....
Great Job Chess House!

I say this due to the fact that I like the size and weight. It looks great on a green mouse board I had lying around. It is absolutely gorgeous. I previous review I had said that they had pawns that appeared to be a different color. As I was photographing them I realized that they had gotten switched. They Match Perfectly with each set. LOL, Sorry Chess House

Everyone loves the weight and size. It looks great on a Navy Blue Board. I absolutely enjoy playing with this set on that board. As you can tell by the stains and other wear on the board.

I spent much time searching for a weighted plastic set. This one meets all my needs. The feel of the pieces is exceptional, weighted perfectly, solid and look forward to many games ahead. The board is very nice and pleased with the color combination. Shopping experience and fast customer support was a game changer to make this purchase.

This review is for the 3 3/4" Emisario Player Chess Pieces - Brown and Tan.

As advertised, the set is triple weighted and the pieces feel very solid and heavy. The colors are Milk Chocolate and Vanilla. It comes with extra Queens. There are no defects in the pieces. It looks and feels well made. It’s shown in the picture with a Steel Blue Flexpad Board.

I am putting up 2 different pics of the Emisario sets--- Black/Tan - Black/white.
I do have the brown pieces, but wanted to show these combinations on a SLATE/ Blue Flex mat.

For some reason( my bad photography likely) the TAN pieces still look a little yellow--BUT-- they are NOT AT ALL!
They are a very nice almost sand like color, and the SLATE /BLUE mat - is REALLY nice, it IS SOFTER when in hand, the blue is not bright
and the slate make the Black, White and Tan -- all standout -- so nicely!
I hope this helps -- this is a very nice combo to play on the Slate/Blue board

I was expecting better quality at this price, especially since I'm replacing an older set with this same design which didn't have similar quality problems. The plastic mold lines are often very pronounced, as if they skipped a finishing step.

Bought these for my first chess set and love them. The weight and size of the pieces make the play experience feel official/pro. Would definitely recommend and by again.

The pieces were exactly as described. Nicely weighted, high quality! Thanks.

Just got this set along with a saddle brown flex board and it looks great together. The pieces are nice and heavy, big and sturdy, felt on the bottom, good feel in the hand. They are not going to tip over easily of you brush against them when moving other pieces. I like the extra queen for each color. The pieces do have some very slight lines from being molded but I guess that is to be expected with plastic pieces, it is not at all an issue and doesn't bother me, just wanted to mention it. The pieces also came in two nice canvas drawstring bags with the chesshouse logo on them which were included in the bundle which are very sturdy and I think that is a real bargain as they are 4.95 a piece to buy them separately. I think it is a great value for the money for pieces that are pretty much indestructible as well as the mouse pad type board which I think is better than vinyl. Also got the DGT North American chess clock which functions perfectly as I have already used it for a five minute game, batteries are included. I put the batteries in and selected the first choice and it was working, very easy. Seems to be pretty sturdy with big numbers. Also got the 24*8*3 black bag to hold everything and a book. With the 10 dollar off coupon for newbies all this was only $103, very fair price for all I think. Free Shipping, got it fast, nothing was wrong, well packaged, I also talked on the phone with customer service for at least 20 minutes to make sure everything was good and he was very knowledgeable about all of the products. Obviously they are all chess enthusiasts at the company. Thank you very much, i will definately order again should I need anything else. Thank you very much.

If you want to buy a set of chess pieces that is beautiful, has a good design and is heavy, I recommend Emisario.
The pieces have a good size, are perfectly designed for 5.5 cm squares, and will surprise you by good handling. Ideal for the club player who likes to play tournaments, both in classic blitz games.

I love the set. The quality and size are perfect.

The chess pieces are great, well weighted and look and feel great.

But I had a bishop damaged in transit. Chess House responded within minutes, had a replacement shipped the very next day. Chess House is great, highly recommended.

My Emisario brown and tan chess pieces are excellent, and at a bargain price. Their height, weight, and base diameter are perfect for a 2.25” chess board. S&H was on schedule.

The brown and tan pieces are easy to distinguish by my eyes. I also like the heft of the pieces. And they slide easily on my flex pad

The brown is just pleasing to look at. The Weight feels good, knights are great plus the extra queen make this set worth it out the gate. I had to email them about something unrelated & they sorted it out. I fully recommend this set & Chess House as a whole. They will be my first stop for anything chess related in the future. 10/10

I really liked the chess set. Pieces are heavy and high quality. This is my first flex chessboard and have no issues. Overall a good buy.

Chess House has the best service and piece replacement in the chess world. They have consistently provided exceptional and beyond customer support. It's all about the customer with Chess House. Bob Schleppi, Osprey Fl.

These are just a really nice set of plastic pieces. They look good, have a nice weight, and are just great to play with.

Nicely weighted pieces. The design lacks pizzazz but I didn't pay for pizzazz either. These are nice pieces. This is a gift and can't wait to see the reaction.
