About The Chess House Flex Pad Club Chess Board

This version of the Flex Pad has the Chess House brand printed on the surface. Pick the look you like:

Original - Green: green and white squares with the Chess House logo. The board clubs have used for years.
Classic: blue and white, with the knight-in-rook mark in two corners.
Center mark: blue and white, with a soft grey mark at the center of the board and an orange hairline frame.
Got your moves: blue and white, with the line printed on both edges so it reads from either seat.

Every design carries coordinates, and the three blue boards read them from both chairs.

The Flex Pad is not a vinyl roll-up. It lays flat every time and can be both rolled and folded. The smooth playing surface works well with club style or any felt-based pieces.

Regulation size, the board is flexible for personal, club, or school use. Pair it with any standard size club or collectable chess pieces and you are in the game fast.

Because it's a mere 1/16 inch thick, it's easy to store roll-up style in a bag with loop or an enclosed carrying case. Roll it up with the squares facing outwards for best results.

Great Board

This is my first flexboard , and I can't recommend it enough. It's a 20 by 20 board , and it's a nice thin mouse pad like material. Get this in the same plastic tournament pieces I bought and you are set. You won't need to buy anything for a long time , except maybe a bag to transport it all in and maybe a chess clock.

If I’m going someplace “sloppy” like a coffeehouse or restaurant, I take my stainproof silicon boards. For safer club and home play, the Flex Pads perform perfectly—flat, durable, and very stylish.

Debating about picking up the green Flex Pad just to round things out. At long last, I can lose a game in almost any setting! ;-)

PS: Also very pleased that ChessHouse offers economy shipping. I can’t tell you how many times I chose not to buy from places like House of Staunton because their shipping cost almost as much (or more) as the item I wanted to buy. Bravo!
