Quality not as expected
Overall I’m happy with the board quality, but there are a couple flaws that are driving me nuts. The main one is a handful of the black squares seem to be too small. Which has created a small gaps throughout the board. Im not sure if I have ocd or what, but it is hard for me to look at the board and not just stare at all gaps.

Beautifully finished an expertly packaged with care.
After trying a few other brands and feeling pretty disappointed, I gave Chess House a try. Can't complain at all. The sScout Set was all I'd hope it would be for a reasonable price. The pieces are nicely weighted, good size, and finished well, and the board is finished well also. Lots of cheapie stuff out there, but the Scout as well as all the other wooden Chess House sets (I assume) are nice, solid chess sets. The service is great as well, so in my opinion you can't go wrong.
Arrived just before Christmas, great quality, weight and well packaged. Even got a call from Chess House when there was a FedEx question. Good value too considering how costly wooden sets are. And no shipping fees to Canada.

I like this set, the one complaint that I do have is that the felt on the bottom of the pieces is too thick causing the pieces to be a bit bouncy and tip easily. Otherwise a good set.
