The Club Chess Set Combo

Very good quality at a reasonable price. Excellent packaging.

Great board and pieces! I got this to replace the set my kids and I were playing with the last several years and we all love it. I highly recommend it.

I ordered this chess set after looking at several sets in the same price range. The beauty of this set is the way the knights are designed. All the other sets and separate chess pieces don't have this same knight design. If you look the knights in all the other sets have a very simple design that's not as "detailed" as the knights in this set. You'd have to pay about $100 to get a similar chess set from a competing site with the same knight design.
The pieces are great looking and although they're not as heavy as my quadruple-weighted plastic set, they have a nice weight and heft to them. One thing I noticed was that depending how the sun light or overhead lights shine on the pieces, you get different shades and colors from the pieces and board which is pretty neat.
The package arrived on time - no sooner and no later. My only minor complaint was I wasn't able to get the Padauk curved edge board with coordinates so I settled for the walnut board with coordinates. I really think they should inform you beforehand if they don’t have a certain product but no biggie. ChessHouse handled the matter promptly.
Overall I expected a high quality product and I ended up with more than I expected.

I agree with other reviews that mention that this is a beautiful and well-made set. I am giving it 4 stars because the board I received has a fairly big dent in one of the squares and a few smudges along one of the side. See pictures.

Package was immaculately designed and the set is so nice pieces fun to play with and perfect size. I couldn’t be happier plus now the kids want to learn more about it because the set is so cool it draws them in.

This chess set I received is the greatest chess set I have ever laid eyes on. Everything is top tier and exactly what I was hoping for. Will be making more purchases in the future. Thank you Chess House

I wanted to buy my first proper wooden chess set for Christmas and this set doesn't disappoint. Excellent quality of wood for the pieces and the board. I can feel the weight of the pieces in a way I've never felt before. I was iffy on whether I wanted the coordinates on the sides, but I'm glad I got them as I've been able to replay a few historical games as I wait for the chance to have my first real game on this beautiful board.

This board, the pieces and the storage box are just lovely - really feel nice when playing - we couldn't be happier! Pieces are heavy, nice felted bottoms - it's a joy to play on this set.

We are new to the chess world and wanted a board with coordinates to assist us in the learning process. This set of ebonized pieces and the coordinates board is perfect. We leave it displayed in our living area so that we can keep a game in progress at all times. Thank you Chesshouse for your passion for quality product and for encouraging everyone to learn the best strategy game ever!

Ordered at last minute but delivered in time as promised, made a great Christmas present. Excellent quality.

We couldn’t be happier with our new board.
The quality is superior to any other board and set we tried We ordered 3 different boards from other companies for Christmas and sent them all back because they looked cheap.
This set is awesome. Real wood and Heavy solid pieces.
Could not be more pleased with our purchase.

I chose Chess House because there were no other places to buy a “proper “ chess set locally in UAE. Price of the chess set is very reasonable especially considering the quality of the product.
The sad thing is some of the other good products are currently unavailable.

My wife and I enjoyed a game of chess the other evening with our new set. WOW - I felt like a kid playing on my old set. All wood, hand made, and felt great. Big thanks!

Arrived quickly. Gift box is beautiful. Wood chess pieces look great. The walnut board is fantastic. Very well made.
Can't wait to see my grandson when he opens it on christmas.

Ordered this chess set for my son and it's really well crafted and beautiful. It also came in a very nice box and was shipped quickly. I won't hesitate to order more items.

Beautiful set, good customer service.

Beautiful and great quality. Excellent customer service.

A gift for my Dad, beautifully made pieces, board perfect for the house. Only complaint is that the box costs thirty dollars to store them.

good quality for the price

Awesome set for my 8 year old!

I ordered this set as a Christmas gift for my son. He is going to use and enjoy the fine craftsmanship for years to come. Thank you for excellent and fast shipping.

Really nice set. Excellent quality and design.

I expected it to be an excellent set, and I'm not dissapointed.

I ordered this set a birthday gift for my boyfriend and it is really beautiful. We are both beginners and we are having a lot of fun learning the game, strategy, etc. I ordered the set with the rank and file labels and very glad I did as it makes understanding the moves and placement of pieces much easier as we learn. The quality of the board and the pieces is very good. I would definitely recommend this set!

Very happy with the board and pieces, and shipping was fast and well packaged. Thanks

Perfect!

very nice quality for price... almost same quality with the dgt boards... i love it... highly recommended!

I had read some bad reviews from a few years back, but I figured for the price, I'll take a chance. Boy am I glad I did. This is one beautiful set. Pieces are flawless. Nice finish, nice weight to the pieces. The board is perfect, finish is bright and no filler or chips anywhere. Overall, this set is perfect, and a great value. Shipping was fast, and packaging was beyond safe and perfect. Double boxed, plastic wrapped, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts. Could not be happier.

I am not one to leave reviews much, but in this case I felt like I should. The chess board is made so well, and it is nice and big. And the pieces are SO NICE. Great detail, ,and weighted too so they don't fall over so easy. I would actually expect this to be a bit more expensive for how nice it is, not saying to raise the price! But it is a great value. :) Thanks so much!
