If I were to glue red felt on the bottom of this pawn, I could not distinguish it from the originals. Bless.
I found a vintage chess set at an estate sale for my boyfriend's birthday, however, one of my kings was missing his crown/top piece. I originally looked into have a glass blower fix it, but onyx is too fragile to work with under such high heat. While looking for amazon resin molds, I realized it would be incredibly hard to find a mold for this specific chess set, as it is so unique, old, and only made in Mexico. Thankfully, I searched for 'onyx chess pieces' and found this site. You can put in the notes what shade of white you are looking for, and the team will do their best to accommodate what you're looking for. Definitely measure your pieces first to make sure they align with the pieces on this site (for example: my king was the exact same size as the king listed on the site, so my instinct was that the other pieces would be proportionate, too. NOT THE CASE, I was going to replace a few pawns that had cracks and mine are much larger than the options here, so just because one piece is comparable to what you have, not all will be.) Shipping was FAST. Said it would come within 5-8 business days and came in 3! His birthday is next week, but I'm so excited I think I will give it to him tonight. Could not have done this without you, Chess House! THANK YOU.
I was so happy to find individual pieces for purchase, ordering was easy and my pieces arrived safely and now I have a complete set!
😁
I received the missing piece I was looking for from chess house. Unfortunately, it came damaged and had to get a new one. This wasn't the company's fault because these sorts of things happen. I was very pleased with how the situation was taken care of. Great communication and professionalism. I will definitely purchase items from chess house in the future!
I was planning on trashing our chess set because 2 rooks were broken and a pawn missing. I'm so glad I found this place. Ordering was very easy and pieces were shipped promptly and wrapped safely. I will definitely order from here again if any more pieces get lost or broken!
I didn't measure my set and the replacement pieces are much larger than the rest of the set. Make sure to measure!
I purchased a chess set in Mexico about 30 years ago for my mother. She has since past away and I just got the set in my possession. The 3 pieces match the originals perfectly... UNREAL ! I gave the set to my daughter, and she will enjoy it for many years to come...Thank you Chesshouse...I never thought I would find those pieces, but thanks to you I did...
The replacement piece matched perfectly. It was wrapped and packaged very securely. Totally pleased with my purchase.
SERVICE GREAT, VERY EASY A PLEASURE TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOU
Good evening,
Would I be able to request a replacement clear white onyx king chess piece? I have an entire set from when I visited when I was 13 years old, and one of my cats knocked it off years ago and we could never find it. I'd long given up hope of ever having a complete set again, then I just discovered your site and became immensely hopeful. Please let me know either way!
Matthew, so sorry but we have discontinued these pieces, what we have left is all we will have.
