Heavy Club Flex Pad Chess Set

I would recommend this awesome product for anyone just getting into chess. Perfect for on the go and also a great alternative to vinyl. The thin mouse pad material always lays flat and has a nice bit of weight, allowing it to stay planted to the surface it is on. The weighted pieces are great and offer the transition to blitz play if one would like to. A great chess set for anyone who loves the sport/game.

32$ you get really sweet hefty tournament sized pieces that look great I can't even notice the plastic lines from the molding so it's made really well I carry it in my school bag most the day and throw it around so nothing broke which definitely says it's sturdy. The flex pad is well.... Flexy obviously and works amazing for my needs I need to carry it with me around places and can fold it in my backpack with my books and laptop then when I open it, it's like brand new doesn't bend or anything. The cut on the side is a little curved but nobody noticed it until I literally ran my finger through the lines at the end he's and felt a bit of a bump. The white pieces that came in the mail did rip open but again no damage it was fine. They ship it in these long boxes filled with DELICIOUS FLUFFY CORN CHIPS definitely try one. Size is great always takes up the entire table so it's nice to play on I wish I could've gotten black on white but green works too nice thing is it's silicone so you could technically wash it under the sink with some light hand motions and soapy water in case you spill something.
At the end board is great for travel chess and just carrying it around it's easy some prefer a wood board I prefer this so buy whichever one you like but this is definitely worth a buy I looked at Walmart and their cheap 12" boards run for 25$/35$ and pieces are small plus empty on inside these feel full and hefty for same price plus you buy from a legit chess store and feel more cool this way. Thrift stores might have some nice boards but hard to find in general this is best bang for the buck you can find for the quality and size

The set is very high quality. I was surprised by how well made the pieces are. They are also excellently weighted. I would definitely recommend them.

The pieces and board are better than expected! Absolutely worth the purchase. I enjoy doing mate in 2 and 3 challenges and now I don’t have to worry about damaging the nice wood set I have. The plastic pieces are a nice weight and can handle the abuse. This set is good for playing with all ages and skill levels.

I was looking for a chessboard similar to one I had -it was time to replace it as after use and packing it for a move it no longer sat flat-I called and they recommended this item-It came in and is everything promised—overall cost ( even with delivery) was less than what I could obtain locally- you go to a dealership for a car, a grocery store for food, and now I have a chess store for any chess related item-great service-a very happy customer

World class chess set!

This item is great. Very easy to see and use and stays in place. It's like a large mouse pad material. That being said, one issue we've already noticed is that it stains fairly easily. So, I wouldn't recommend eating around it -- especially with greasy foods. Maybe this is common sense, but I didn't think about it until my 9 year old had lunch while playing a game with it.

Originally I really was only wanting the chess pieces .... ( as a fused glass artist I planned to make the board myself ) but kiln operator ended up in hospital needing surgery ... so I was happy the board was included ... however the blue men on a green/white board was not so easy on the eye ... so I ordered green men and am delighted how quickly they arrived and how similar the lighter green pieces are to the original heavier ones. Price reasonable, follow up excellent.

The pieces have a good weight to them. They’re solid and well fabricated. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a solid chess set.

I got this set for an 11-year-old who is interested in chess, but didn't have his own. I was amazed at how well the pieces are cast: you can hardly see a seam in the plastic, and the weight and size are great. They are substantial enough that I have no concerns about breakage. I also like the rollup board because it's easy to fold without putting creases in it. The pieces and the folded board fit beautifully in a Dopp bag (nylon toiletries kit), and now my young friend can easily take the set anywhere.
P.S.: the extra queens are a nice bonus.

Finally I found wat I wanted, when you enjoy playing with just touching the pieces! My son was also happy and now he challenges me more than before 😂. The flex pad quality is also good.

The flex-pad is sturdy, and lies flat, but will roll up easily for transporting or storage. The chess pieces are well made. This chess set is perfect for traveling. We plan to use it to teach chess to a preteen during our winter family vacation.

The flex pad really is the best kind of board. Folds up like silicone and always lays flat. But thin enough that you can also slide pieces. It seems to combine the best characteristics of vinyl and silicone. The pieces feel great.

Just received mines today and i have to say this is very nice set. The flex pad board is big and sturdy and lays down on tables and carpet with no problem.

I ordered the set for my 12-year-old daughter after seeing good reviews. She picked out the colors, and I placed the order. I was a little disappointed that the standard shipping was scheduled for 10 days from ordering, but it wasn’t an emergency, so that was fine. It was delivered 4 days later!
