Ace Chess Set

I am very pleased with this chess set. I chose it because I like the way the chess pieces were designed and the board being almost 16 inches was not too small. I would definitely buy it again. Great little travel set.

This was a gift for my Grandson's 15th birthday. He is becoming quite the chess player and this all wood, hand-made, set is perfect for encouraging his continued growth in playing. I was impressed with the craftsmanship and know he will thoroughly enjoy it.

I had returned one to a different company (it was “Ok” but this was a gift) and tried this one...very pleased! Good quality and love the details.
Thank you!

BEAUTIFUL CHESS SET...

I was a little thrown off that there were what seemed like plastic felt inserts as the dividers inside of the board as storage but I think that is their way of solving the issue with the little green fuzzies getting everywhere from the other reviews. I'm very pleased with the board. The pieces were as good as a cheaper set should be but I may definetly invest in some more expensive pieces later on. Still very happy with the purchase.

Great service and the product is a gift.

Beautiful set and very well crafted, but tiny bits of green felt got everywhere.

Nicely crafted, great size. Gift recipient loved it.

I had purchased these Poland-made storage box chess sets before, so I had a good idea what I was getting. This particular set comes at the perfect size for an overall work horse for a chess set. Since it has two compartments inside to store the chess pieces as opposed to the individual depressions for each piece, take down and set up is easy and fast. And, the box closes clean without adjustments to the pieces inside having to be adjusted or readjusted. I put this set under my arm when I go out and throw it in the back seat just in case I come across someone that wants a game. It's small enough for a "take it with you" set and large enough to be considered almost full size. One thing I will say about all these "Poland-made" storage box chess sets is that once the game is done and the pieces put in the box, the table where the board set has to be wiped off to get off all the little green particles left from the green lining inside the boxes...the damp paper towel I used is green with the stuff. When I first got the set, I took a vacuum with a brush attachment and tried to clean the green lining of the box to get all that residue. But, the table still has to be wiped to get off the green residue. I imagine over time and use that will be less necessary. Regardless, had I to do it over again, I would definitely buy this set again and would recommend it to anyone.

I was worried the set would end up seeming too small or be poor quality wood because of the reasonably low price for a wooden chess set, but it arrived quickly and in perfect condition, the size of the board is perfect, and the wood seems high quality to me! I also like the weight of the pieces. I'm not an expert at all, but I would recommend this set!
