About The 4 1/4" Professional Series Chess Pieces (weighted)
The set includes extra Queens and soft felt bases.
See accessories for suggested chessboard with at least a 2 1/4" square
As one reviewer already acknowledged, the Queens have sharp points and the black plastic is a bit prone to scratching. We find that the overall appearance of the plastic can be restored or improved with a fine grit wet/dry sandpaper. We used 1100 grit and the result was impressive.

... but very nice! These are some seriously chunky pieces, yet they fit on a tournament mat (55mm squares) just fine. Well made and solidly-weighted, maybe not as detailed as some of the more expensive pieces, but still nice-looking. I got these to throw in my bag and get knocked around. Compared to fancier (and more expensive) plastic pieces maybe 4 stars, but these are an excellent value in my opinion so 5 stars. They play very well, look good, and will fulfill their purpose as my knockabout set perfectly!
These pieces are huge. I didn't realize they'd be almost comically large in my hand. But for such a low price point they're incredibly well made, and very heavy! My friends have complimented these pieces several times. They really elevate the expirience when played on a properly sized board.
My only complaint is that they come from the warehouse uncleaned. So I had so spend my first 20 minutes with them wiping down spots and marks.
The order came faster than expected. Great pieces. Love the weight and feel. I am using them on a board that I made
We love the larger size chess pieces! They are perfect.. just what I was looking for but couldn’t find anywhere else.
Also, your customer service from the time we ordered till delivery was amazing. Sending a notification right away upon receiving order, when it will ship, the day it shipped and delivery expectant date. Wow.. you run a great business. I will be sure to refer your company to my friends. -
Love the weighted chess pieces. Very professional looking too. It arrived 1 day before projected. Awesome set!💕
Wonderful chess set. I have several and wanted a weighted plastic one I can travel with. The matte finish of these pieces feels pleasant to hold.
My pieces arrived damaged. A pawn arrived beheaded and a Queen misshapen. It has been 8 days with no response to my emails or voicemail. Still waiting for things to be sorted out. I can understand holidays being a busy time, but no response to a damaged item arrival is bad.
I'm very happy with my purchase. The size was perfect. I got them quickly. I am very pleased.
Definitely the best chess pieces at my latest tournament. 💪🏼
Looks great with the grey board...good contrast.
I absolutely love this set. I was pleasantly surprised at how heavy it is. This is my first quality set i've owned. It won't be my last purchase from chesshouse.live. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
Big pieces are always good in my opinion
They're delicious!
4 1/4" Professional Series Chess Pieces (weighted)
My friends are envious.
I have purchased several sets of pieces..probably 6 or 7.. over last 3 years.. a always consistent quality and decent shipping.. always satisfied
As I get older, I more appreciate the larger pieces with vinyl board!!!
The chess pieces were great for the money and will continue to go to this site for more! Thank you.
They look good. I am making a chess table for my 2 grown grandsons for Christmas.
These large chess pieces were just what we needed. A perfect set! Good weight. Well made.
Simply a real bargain! This set plays well with 2 1/4" squares, but it's handsome when using a board with 2 3/8" squares.
Beautifully crafted chess pieces for the price. Good customer service, and fast delivery. Thanks
Worth every penny very pleased with the product
Very happy with this set. The pieces have a great feel, and are nice to play because of their size and weight. Fast shipping and delivery
I was a bit worried about buying them at first, but when they arrived they were prefect, I bought them along with a 19-inch hard wood chess board. It fits prefect. Better than any of the Amazon products I could have bought for that money. They have a nice feel to them.
Love the set. Hate howlong it took to arrive.
