3 3/4" Commander Staunton Chess Pieces (per color or half set - 17 pieces)

Just got my 3 3/4" Commander Staunton Chess Pieces… Red And black. You get 17 pieces (and extra Queen) Pieces are weighted perfectly, te red could be brighter as it looks more like maroon. Still pieces look amazing, Awesome job ChessHouse. Just waiting for my board to arrive and I’m all set.

Super happy to have this high quality plastic set. I have a couple of expensive "luxury" sets, but in so many situations, I don't feel safe bringing them out. This set gives me the look at feel of a better set, but it's plastic, it's virtually indestructible, and was a great price. I went with the Natural and Red pairing. The red color is more subdued than a fire-engine red, giving it the look of a Rosewood and Boxwood set. Well felted and weighted. See photos.

This is exactly what I was looking for in a big heavy set with wide bases. And goes perfectly with the flex pad club board. a perfect combination.

The Commander series plastic pieces are exceptional in weight, style, color and finish. You will proudly play anywhere with these first rate pieces. Use them on a mouse pad flex style board for quiet solid durable play.

I'm glad I checked out chesshouse for their selection of chess pieces. I have a black and white board, and having the ordinary tournament black pieces match the black squares - could lead to overlooking your pieces' position. Got the red and natural pieces. A joy to view and play, and the pieces are meant to be played with "passion". Drop, crash, and clash - I believe they will last a while. Very well built.

I love color and the weight of the pieces! For a budget price, these pieces are impressive! I originally was looking to purchase the Emisario set because I really liked the brown and natural combination.
I am more than satisfied with the Commander set.
The set arrived a day earlier than I expected!!

So I ordered both a red and white set of these and it was my first ever order on this site. They both arrived and I was pleased with the red as none had any major problems. When I opened my white pieces I had quite a different experience. Four pawns, one queen, and a knight all had loose weights inside them. Also, one of my knights has a hole in the side of it which was quite disappointing. At the price I guess I can understand loose weights which can probably be fixed but the hole in my knight is pretty upsetting.

My son built this board in his shop class last year and we finally found the perfect pieces for it.

Chess House strikes again, I've been waiting on these to finally become available in red, and they like so many thing were back ordered and finally they came in. I ordered these Wed the 28th after 4pm and got them today Friday!! That was fast I fully expected to get them sometime next week, but I got them today!!! WOW that was fast service!!! These pieces are great for any type of play and since they are fully in stock and inexpensive if you lose or break one a replacement is easy & cheap to get. Thanks once again, for providing good quality inexpensive chess pieces that you just can't find anyplace else!!! PS thanks for throwing in the Chess House canvas bag for my pieces once again!!!!

Exactly as it says. Heavy chess set. Good purchase. Was hoping they'd be a brighter red. Tends towards a dark red to almost brown. Still a nice swt.

Exactly as it says. Heavy chess set. Good purchase.

Excellent service and timely delivery!
Very satisfied and will definitely recommend to my friends!!

Brought this set to the chess club on Monday and it was well received…
My choice was blue and white to give the drabness of some sets a lift.
The perfect Staunton pattern and the correct weights made playing the
games a pleasure. I highly recommend it and forward to more games.

I ordered three sets of armies Natural, Black and Red. The Red army’s knight has an imperfection hole in it with shoddy injection process. This should have been quality rejected but still shipped. Loss of confidence in this product. I thought the Kings would read House of Staunton but nope and the triple weights feel double weighted. Over all not what I expected and thus my disappointment. The red knight injection imperfection is a head shaker that will only garner questions with players looking at it and I’ll always say ordered it at Chesshouse and good luck with your orders because obviously some quality QC person there needs glasses.

These chess pieces are larger and have nice meaty rooks! Well weighted and feel substantial in your hands. Thumbs up, great chess pieces! 👍

Excellent value, good weight and bottom felt.

Quality pieces A bag in at this price.

This is a great general purpose chess set. The natural coloring is not too far off from natural boxwood and not the sickly yellow that plagues other sets. The weighting is decent and the sizing of the pieces is perfect for tournament sized boards. The set arrived with no loose weights or blemishes of any kind. The only adjustment I might suggest is that the points of the queen's crown be a little less sharp as they could potentially injure someone in a in a blitz game. I filed them down with very fine sandpaper and now you would never know they weren't made that way. I have ordered a number of products from Chess House and have never been disappointed. Thank you!

I'm lucky to have chanced on this website with it's great . Customer service is willing to work with you and the quality of their products is exceptional!

I love that they offer these regulation plastic pieces in several colors and they sell them as half-sets so you can customize the light and dark pieces. Thank you very much.

Just got my pieces yesterday faster than I expected and was very pleased with them. Perfect for club & fun play, They arrived double packaged and with very nice chess house canvas bags for the pieces. The Pawns and the Rooks were bigger than expected, nice. Thanks once again Chess House!!!

Pieces have a nice appearance and feel. Speedy shipping in time for my son's birthday.
