21.5" Wooden Chess Board with coordinates

Love the board ……but my grandkids are still beating me😳☺️

I bought this board, in the Walnut/Maple wood, to pair with my “Legends series” 3.75in King set from the House of Staunton. I sought chess house mainly because their boards available featured no logo in the corner of the board.
When i got the board and put the pieces on, it felt perfect. The size of the squares (2.25 in) is perfect for the 3.75 inch set. The grain pattern of both woods is beautiful, especially the maple. This was well crafted and feels seamless around all the edges of the squares. 10/10 would recommend it. Will buy from chess house again.

It has always been a delight to purchase Chess items from chesshouse.live. But this time I had a depressing experience. I've bought a Mahogany Chess Board earlier and it was of good quality. This time I bought Walnut Chessboard. To my surprise, this board was of substandard quality. Rough as if splinters will prink my skin, the surface is too dry with whitish color that shows how dry the board is. And the most depressing part: it is not shiny at all as the one I bought earlier.
Also, it is brittle. I carried it in Chesshouse board bag. Bag is supposed to protect it from bumps, but it didn't. I hit one corner on the floor while walking as the board size is big with a long handle loop of the bag. That small hit made the corner wood layer covering the edge chipped out. The sides of the board should be one wood sanded and polished to make a smooth feel and look. But it is rather covered with a very thin wooden layer which is bound to peel off or break with even a tiny hit or brush with any solid surface.
I complained about this as it happened to my "brand new" board and to my huge disappointment, the customer service advised me to repair it myself and polish it using Tung-oil as a chess club project. I wonder, did I buy this board for the board or for bringing an unnecessary polishing/smoothening project for my chess club? I am really disappointed with the substandard Walnut board this time. I will never buy Walnut board ever again from Chesshouse.”
I didn't mention this earlier that the boxwood insert line is not aligned properly. See the picture below. One side is broader than the other side which is looking like a substandard chessboard.

This Chessboard is simply awesome. Good quality, smooth finish and shows the class. Customer service is simply the best as they resolved my issues in no time and I am now a happy customer. Shipping was fast and everything with the product seems simply perfect. Thank you for everything. You can see how the chessboard looks like in the picture.

Beautiful board at a reasonable price.

First let me say that I finally have a professional wooden chess board to go with my 4 and1/4" king wooden chess pieces I had for at least a dozen years. The set looks perfectly matched to this board so I am satisfied. However in one corner there seems to be a slight roughness or damage to the veneer. It's so slight that I didn't notice it until a day later. Anyway, it's a great board to match my set that actually resembles the Sinquefield set, though the knight is the only piece that is completely different, the rest of the pieces are very similar, but this is about the board. Well these pieces of mine never looked quite right on any board I used. Now they look at home on this board.

Board looks great! Glad I purchased through your company. It is a very expensive looking board at a fairly inexpensive price.

I don’t like to give reviews but a good product deserves to be appraised. My little kid loves it. We play together very often. Well made and I am sure will last a very long time.

This is the second purchase I have made from Chess House. This is a beautiful 21.5 " mahogany board. It is the right size and color for my pieces which I already had. The price was reasonable. The order was delivered very quickly. Amazingly quick. By the way, a human answered the phone when I called prior to the purchase. I have been very pleased with both purchases I have made with Chess House. I plan to make more purchases in the future.

Best board for the buck in chess. Great color! Really dresses up a wood set compared to vinyl. Notation a great help for the less experienced (or excitable) players.
