20" Large King's Inlaid Chess Set

The board i ordered was not in and they recommended this one, it is huge beautiful and has been a joy to play on. Love it and will be recommending this site moving forward.

Beautiful chess set. Timely delivery. Thanks!

This chessboard is nice. I like it. The finish on the board and particularly the pieces is excellent. The only thing that I am DIS-appointed by is that the pieces are NOT AS HEAVY/WEIGHTED as I "thought" they would be! A sudden gust-of-wind blowing my pieces over in the middle of an intense game is something that I HATE!!.......thus the reason I would have preferred heavier pieces. But so far all of The Onlookers LOVE IT and were inquiring about where I got it.......and I am definitely telling Them where.

Arrived very fast. Very high quality for the price. Can smell the fresh lacquer. Would highly recommend!

I would NOT recommend purchasin! This set has the hallmark of a $50 Amazon set straight from a cheap factory overseas... There’s no way this is “handcrafted in Europe”. This set is $100 over priced, and I should have stuck to Amazon if I simply wanted a knock off, low quality set like this. And for $160, they could at least throw in a second queen…just another reason to look elsewhere. Quality simply is not there.

I really like the pieces and the fact that they are high gloss adds to their beauty. The board is nice, however, for my tastes the pieces are too large for the board, This is just my feeling because I played my first game either this set against my son and he felt the piece size was fine for the board. I also like pieces which are heavier but I was prepared for the light weight of these pieces having purchased similar items from Chess House before,

Well designed it is nice and soft and it does not scratch the board. I love the size of the pieces ,inviting to play.

The set is well made, and is perfect for what I needed.

Amazing set. I would definitely recommend it.

It's a beautiful set. The perfect size. Can't wait to break it to play someone.

High quality, well-lacquered, good-looking board.

Though strong smelling initially, smell fades quickly leaving a great set to play with.

I love this chess set. It’s so fresh that I had to air it out, as it reeked of varnish! Airing it out in my garage for a couple of days took care of that and I am enjoying this fine Hannukah present from my wife. Thank you for the fast turnaround.

Looks very nice, love it.

I just received this set. The complaint I have is that the metal trim on the bottoms is finished roughly. If you look at the picture you'll see inconsistencies. My wife pointed out the picture after I had ordered, but I figured that that was just their picture and that the one I just bought wouldn't be that way. Nope, I guess they're all that way. Also the dark pieces are finished rather quickly and so they seem like the finish is a bit uneven. It shows on the dark pieces, the light ones look perfect. It's a nice set and fun to play, nice design, I just thought they would be finished with more care .

I got this set for my son’s 13th birthday and he loves it and it’s something he will want to keep as he grows older. It arrived two days sooner than expected and the pieces are nice and heavy so they don’t fall over. Handsome set that we can keep out on the table. Love it!

This set arrived to me quickly and I love the pieces. I look forward to playing many games with it over the years. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the board. While it is very nice, a few of the letters were slightly faded (this can be seen in the stock photo on the D file.) This is not a reason to pass on this set though, it has gorgeous wood that should please anyone that enjoys a style with a pleasant mix of rustic elegance.

I bought this Chess set for my son and it far exceeds my expectations. Beautiful and we'll made. I am very happy. Quick delivery and just what I wanted.

Everything was as described and the shipping was right on time. I am absolutely satisfied with my purchase.

This is a beautifully handcrafted set with big evenly waited pieces that are pleasing to the eye and great to play with. Highly recommended, great price! Shipped quickly!
