17" Vinyl Roll-up Chess Board

I bought 3. I uploaded pics with different chess pieces so you can see. They are great with chess pieces that have a king base between 1.25" - 1.625". First picture is a set of german knight pieces 3.75" king height and king base of 1.5". Second set of pieces have a 3.25" king height and 1.25" king base. Third picture is a set of Staunton No. 6 chess pieces with 3.9" king height and 1.375" king base.

Would’ve happily paid more something nicer on this side, but sadly can’t find nice mats at this side.

I use this vinyl board with a 3 3/4” King (1 3/8” base) set and purchased it for travel. It looks fantastic and grips the table top superbly. I’d certainly recommend it and you can’t beat the price. The crew at Chess House have been extremely helpful and professional. I couldn’t be happier!

Just what I needed.

I am very pleased with the quality and size of the two boards I ordered. They fit the wooden board being used as the base.
My only disappointment is the color advertised wasn’t the same as what I received. Yes, it was brown…but not the same shade as pictured. However,
I can adjust…either the pieces already painted or the vinyl board. I’m just happy to find Chess House for future use.

Good material, not a cheap mat that would be damaged easily. I use it to practice a tactic or move that I am reading about and need to see it while reading. Packed it in my carry on and was able to get a game while waiting at a layover. Next time I get one a little smaller

Delivered on time with no issues. The playing surface of 17" is beneficial when playing on smaller table. Product is what I expected. Chess House - are there any options for a 17" mousepad board with 2" squares?

I'm sorry to say that I'm not really enjoying this board. The green squares have a rough texture which prevents nice sliding of pieces and the edges seem to curl up naturally. I know this product can be better because other vinyl boards I've experienced do not behave this way.

Good size and color, the darker color really distract me but this grey is perfect!

Occasionally when playing cafes the tables are smaller and a tournament size board won’t fit. So this 17” board is perfect for that situation! I roll it with the 20” board and I’m always ready!

Really like the 17” roll up mat. Fits the chess set perfectly! The mat is great quality and nonslip!!

The 17" Vinyl Roll-up is convenient and good to play on - BUT - how about stocking 17"Flex Pad! The flex-pad roll ups are REALLY nice to play on!

Great to have one of these! Works well w/3 1/4" x 33 mm base king set.
For shipping, might be nice to roll it up in a bit of kraft paper & tuck in the ends to help avoid creased corners & kinks.

My first roll up board. I like the concept. Fits well with the 3in set I bought to take to work to make breaks more interesting.

Just what I was looking for. 17” board fits my 3”king perfectly. Product is great and customer service is even better. My first roll up board came creased from shipping. Chess house sent me a new one, no problem.

Recently purchased a bundle with 3" pieces. It came with a 20" roll-up board made of mouse pad material. I felt the pieces were too small for the board, and asked that Chesshouse to allow me to swap the 20" board for a smaller one. I had to purchase the 17" board, and return the 20" board for a refund. The 17" board arrived a few days ago and I am quite please with it. It may be slightly stiffer than the mouse pad material, but that is OK. Now I just need to get the 20" board back in the mail for my refund. Great customer service!

Didn't know you had bigger vinyl board, and bigger and heavier pieces. I would have gotten the better set..

...with 2 inch squares- timely order and delivery. I'd like to see them in red also

Just what I was looking for.

The viny board is fine . .Nice blue color not to dark . But it was shipped in a envelope and it has creases ever inch. Card board tube shipping would fix problem.

Fantastic easy to store and take anywhere

I was in need of the 1 -7/8' square vinyl chess board and chess house is the only place I could find here in the US.
